Kym Whitley
Kym Elizabeth
Whitley was born in July 21 in 1961. She is an American comedian, actress and
writer. She is best known for her appearances on television sitcoms such as
Animal Practice, Young & Hungry and Parkers. Whitley was awarded the BET
Comedy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress in Box Office Films for her
performance in Deliver Us From Eva. Whitley was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio to
Kaysonia Whitley and William Whitley. Whitley and Whitley was a black
architectural firm was her father's first partner. Whitley and Whitley was
involved in projects like Tower City Center, the Cleveland State University
Convocation Center, Lincoln Junior High School, the Lee-Harvard Branch of
Cleveland Public Library, the Central Area Multi-Service Center and the
Cleveland Clinic Guesthouse development. They also participated in the joint
venture that was created to construct Jacobs Field (now Progressive Field)
which is home to the Cleveland Indians. She was a 1979 graduate of Shaker Heights
High School and Fisk University in Nashville. Inducted into Alpha Beta chapter
of Delta Sigma Theta. Whitley was able to make her debut in 1989, when she
appeared in Shelly Garrett's popular play Beauty Shop. The show was initially
created in Los Angeles and then traveled throughout the U.S. Whitley has also
appeared on the short-lived sitcoms Sparks as well as My Brother and Me.
