Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress from Canada. She appeared in the Teletoon children’s comedy series Majority Rules as Becky Richards. from 2009-2010. In the following year, she was a part of Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic science fiction show Revolution from 2012 to 2014, for which she was nominated for an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She was Annika Johnson in the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Spiridakos has appeared on the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. playing the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, restaurant owners George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. The family moved to Skala in Greece, south-of Sparta, shortly after her birth. In 1992, they returned to Canada. She has a strong connection to her Greek heritage and is able to speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school. She also studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She got her first television role within a few days, a small part with Supernatural. She continued to do television work as a walk-on in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos played the role in the TV film Goblin and the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos was also a part of Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009, she was cast in her first role in a starring part in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl who appeared on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! She made her debut as a feature film in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and filmed the low-budget MichaelGreenspan-helmed horror, Kill for Me, which featured her alongside Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags, which was a Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos was then offered the leading role in Revolution in the role of Charlotte Matheson (survivor in an unimaginative future society) which aired on NBC television. In her pilot season, she auditioned for this role. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance in the pilot she was nominated for win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She was beaten out by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna Torv. The second season was recorded in Austin, Texas.
